“My family taught me that real wealth is knowledge and the best possible investment you can make in your future is an education. I attended public schools through my undergraduate studies and truly believe that my experiences in public schools have helped shape who I am today. I also believe every child should have the same opportunity I had to live out my dreams. As a Broad Resident I will use my skills, strengths and experiences to improve urban schools so that every child can have those same opportunities.”

Joanne Pearlman currently serves as a program manager for the Department of College and Career Preparation for Chicago Public Schools.
